You should never feel overwhelmed or confused about your health coverage

You should never feel overwhelmed or confused about your health coverage. There are dozens of options available to you which provide coverage for services you currently need as well as options you may need in the future. An agent will be able to bring clarification and understanding while assisting you with choosing the best options for you. Here is a breakdown of just a few of the options you have available to you.

Individual & Family Plans

The Affordable Care Act has now made health insurance more accessible and less expensive. Coverage is now available without pre-existing conditional limits and contain cost containment to reduce your out-of-pocket expenditures. Simply put, health insurance is better and easier to use.

Medicare Advantage

While Original Medicare benefits are paid by the government, a Medicare Advantage Plan which is similar to an HMO or PPO is offered to eligible parties by private insurance providers. These companies are paid by Medicare to cover your benefits.

Medicare Supplements

Offered by private insurance companies, Medicare Supplements cover multiple areas and services not covered by the Original plan. These “gaps” which can include emergency overseas travel coverage, certain disability assistance, prescription drug plans and more, are taken care of under the supplements which are available to anyone who is eligible for basic coverage.

Prescription Drug Plans

Basic options do not offer prescription drug coverage. When you enroll, you have the option of adding certain coverages and additional options including drug plans. You can add drug coverage to Original Medicare as well as additional plans. This may be a good option for you if you rely on multiple medications throughout the month.
